Go over the first small roundabout until you come to a larger one where you would go Right to Roccacasale (see the castle up the top) but, for the river, you go Left past a Fuel Place and over a small bridge. Not sure if they have an office there or if you just meet them at the river (I’ll let you know when we have tried it).
Or you can book one for experienced Rafters
The price (from their Web Site was from April 2023) should give you an idea of costs but you can ring when you are ready to book or check the Web Site …. www.majellando.it I think Payment is in cash on the day of your experience. Tel: +39 349 664 8985
Excursion by rubber dinghy on the Sagittarius River, suitable for everyone, about 40 minutes, accompanied by a guide. We will descend safely along the Sagittarius River for a total length of about 4 km and we will discover the biodiversity of the waters of the Sagittarius River, in contact with nature in an exciting and fun way. Difficulty: Suitable for everyone – (from 7 years up to a maximum age of 70 years, minors accompanied by at least one parent) – Maximum weight per person 100 kg
Note: If you are interested in the Castle which you can see up in Roccacasale, check out our “Castles in Abruzzo” section. It is worth seeing but is a scary drive up to the Commune with not a lot of parking for high seasons. The pathways are excellent but even so it is a good bit of exercise up to the castle. Hope the castle and visitor part are open for you! Or you could try lunch at the Hotel on the large roundabout (Ristorante di Mario). Not typically Italian but it is convenient and the food/service is excellent. We went for the set menu which included Arrosticini which I love. And they did Gluten free pasta which one of us needed.
