Walk JS3 - Secinaro to Chalet Del Sirente
Start of the walk - FAVOURITE OPTION Walk down from the Statue and under the Arches to the “Low Road”
Difficulty T/E (4½ Hours) Start=Secinaro Piazza then you have choices on which way to go but my favourite is to walk down from the statue in the Piazza to the Arches and head down to the “Low Road” along the bottom OR you can drive down the hill to the “Low Road” and park up near the small Cross on the bend coming up to the village OR you can take the “High Road” and walk up/drive to the Large Cross and go on from there …. All routes will end up at the Chalet Del Sirente where you can take refreshments in summer, have a Picnic or take a toilet break.
If you are taking the Low Road, just follow the Bridle Way which follows the line of the valley and after a while, you will see the Large Church up top to your Left and the road up to Secinaro Cross2 on your Right - just keep going straight - you can’t get lost, just follow the path through the woods. You should pass a bit of a Rock Fall (Black stones) on your Left and then the Horse Trough on your Right - keep going until you reach the Chalet Del Sirente where you can have your well earned picnic and fill your water bottles at the tap over the Font. In Summer, the Chalet Del Sirente Cafe/Ristorante should be open (with toilet) or you can have your Picnic across the road. In the little shelter by the water troughs, check if our names are still written in the top Left Corner of the roof and then make your way back on the same route. I like this walk as you can come back making a detour to Cross1 (The Large Cross above Secinaro) by taking a Right Fork in the path when you get to it - then back down to the large Church which you will be able to see and then back down to the Piazza.
Following the Bridle Path
OR walk up to the Large Cross and off to your right meeting the same route
Walk down and then through the Arches Then go off Right
OR walk down hill and take the “Low Road” behind the small Cross
Along the Low Road

Warning: We got overpowered by flies one sunny August day coming back on the Low Road! Luckily, we called for a friend to save the day and pick us up in the car. Very uncomfortable, even though we didn’t get bit …. when we do it again, we will take the road off and come back via the Large Cross at the top of the hill,
