Terremoto (Earthquake) 2009
The disastrous Earthquake in April 2009 affected much more than just the town of L’Aquila as reported in the English Press. For some, things are getting back to normal some 16 years later BUT many are STILL struggling with the effects and will be for some time! Especially with rebuilding in appropriate ways. This makes it difficult for Tourists/Holiday Makers/Foreign Home Owners as they do not wish to intrude but need to know which areas are OK to visit? As time goes on, I will list any areas still to be avoided BUT FIRST .... Checkout some of John’s poetry which may give you an understanding of the problems: Poem1:  Terrormoto 2009 (Written a few weeks after the Earthquake) Poem2:  Terrormoto2 (12 months on)
